National mourning declared across Iraq

BAGHDAD – Prime Minister Mohammed Shia’ Al-Sudani declared a three-day period of national mourning across all government departments and institutions on Saturday, in tribute to those killed in U.S. airstrikes in Akashat and Al-Qaim, located in the western Anbar governorate.

Prime Minister Mohammed S. Al-Sudani has announced a three-day period of general mourning across all state departments and institutions. This is in honor of the souls of the martyrs from our armed forces and the civilians who lost their lives due to the American bombing in Akashat and Al-Qa’im, west of Anbar Governorate.
