Iraq’s government allocates 25 billion dinars for maintenance of water resources
BAGHDAD, November 29 — Iraq’s Cabinet approved an allocation of 25 billion Iraqi dinars on Tuesday for the maintenance of small-scale irrigation projects, dam maintenance, and the upkeep of drilling machinery and fuel by the Ministry of Water Resources.
The Ministry issued a statement which said:
Due to water scarcity and the need to confront floods and harvest water during the current winter season, the Cabinet approved the Ministry of Finance’s allocation of a sum of 25 billion dinars to the Ministry of Water Resources for the maintenance of small-scale irrigation projects, dam maintenance, and the upkeep of drilling machinery and fuel.
