Iraqi airstrikes kill three militants in Hamrin mountain hideouts
KIRKUK — Iraqi warplanes struck two militant hideouts in the Hamrin mountain range in Kirkuk governorate on Wednesday, killing three people inside after a three-day surveillance operation, the Joint Operations Command said.
The command said the strikes, carried out at 3:50 p.m., destroyed two locations used by militants for shelter and supplies. The operation was based on intelligence from the Military Intelligence Directorate and supervised by the command’s targeting cell.
