Nurseries in Nasiriyah witness increased demand for autumn plants
DHI QAR, September 3 — With the arrival of September, plant nursery owners in Nasiriyah begin to bring in various types of autumn plants that are suitable for the moderate temperatures in home gardens.
The buying and selling of household plants see a surge as temperatures drop, with residents preferring to plant species like Acacias, Elias, and others in the early weeks of autumn. This allows the plants to grow and adapt to their new environment before the colder months set in.
Alaa Abd – A Shopper for Network 964, stated:
“We usually visit nurseries during spring and autumn when the weather is moderate, making it suitable for planting household plants.”
Haidar Saleh, the owner of a nursery, mentioned:
“I have brought in various types of plants that residents eagerly await every autumn due to the mild temperatures, marking the start of their planting season.”

Egyptian Acacia: 8,000 dinars
Coastal Plants: 4,000 dinars
Jihanammi Plant: 6,000 dinars
Elias: Ranging from 2,000 to 10,000 dinars
Shade Plants (Zambia): 10,000 dinars
Rubber Plant: 20,000 dinars
Tiger Skin Plant: 15,000 dinars
