RAPERIN, January 25 – Dr. Barham Ahmad Rasul, a specialized orthopedic surgeon with expertise in fractures, spine surgery, joint replacement, and sports injuries, has committed to providing free medical services to street workers and cleaners in Raperin.
Castro Marouf, a member of the Sulaymaniyah Provincial Council, expressed the importance of extending additional services, particularly in healthcare, to street workers in Raperin. He told 964media that upon requesting assistance, Dr. Barham readily agreed to offer free medical consultations and treatment to any worker in need, effective immediately.
Highlighting the collaborative effort, Marouf revealed that several other doctors in Raperin, specializing in various fields, have also expressed their willingness to provide complimentary healthcare services to environmental workers.
There are approximately 600 street workers in the Raperin area.
Marouf noted that over the past two years, he has sought approval from doctors to offer free healthcare to workers and individuals with disabilities: “During this period, more than 100 doctors have demonstrated their commitment to delivering pro bono health services to workers and people with disabilities across Sulaymaniyah, Halabja, and Raperin.”
