Global oil prices dip slightly

BAGHDAD, July 17 — Global oil prices were slightly down early today as exports from the Kurdistan region are yet to resume.

Brent crude was down 71 cents at $79.16 per barrel at the opening of trading.

WTI was also down by 68 cents at $74.74 a barrel.

Brent crude had crossed the $80 mark in the past two days – the first time since May of this year.

Meanwhile, oil exports from the Kurdistan region are still stalled as officials intensify efforts to resume transport.
