Al-Sudani warns against escalation in Gaza war

BAGHDAD, November 6 — Prime Minister Mohammed Shiaa’ Al-Sudani warned during his visit to Tehran on Monday that the Gaza war threatens to escalate into a wider conflict, drawing in countries in the region.

Al-Sudani spoke during a press conference in the Iranian capital and said:

Anyone who wishes to contain the conflict and prevent its spread must exert pressure on the authorities of the occupying power to cease aggression and systematic killing. The decision to drag the region into a comprehensive war that threatens civil peace and security in the region and the world lies with the party engaging in aggression against Gaza.
