Scorching temperatures continue in Iraq
BAGHDAD — Iraq’s Meteorological Authority reported on Thursday that the country is experiencing extremely hot summer weather, with clear skies across most areas and some scattered clouds in southern regions.
According to the report, temperatures remain close to those recorded on Wednesday, with a slight increase expected in the northern and central parts.
Northwesterly winds are forecast to be light to moderate, ranging between 10 and 20 kilometers per hour. Wind activity is expected to intensify during the day in central and southern regions, leading to dust and sand being stirred in desert areas.
Horizontal visibility is expected to range between 8 and 10 kilometers in most regions but may decrease to 4 to 6 kilometers in areas affected by dust.
