Prime Minister Mohammed S. Al-Sudani met today, Monday, with the Palestinian Ambassador to Iraq, Mr. Ahmad Rwaidy.
The meeting addressed the current situation in the occupied territories and in the Gaza Strip, including the ongoing crimes and grave violations committed by the occupation forces against the Palestinian people in Gaza and the worsening humanitarian conditions there.
The Prime Minister reaffirmed Iraq’s steadfast position in support of the Palestinian cause and its solidarity, both governmental and popular, with the Palestinian people who are enduring a brutal aggression that continues to shed their blood. He condemned the silence and inaction of the international community in the face of the Zionist entity’s crimes and the starvation policy that is claiming the lives of dozens of children, women, and innocent civilians on a daily basis. He also highlighted the ongoing efforts of the Iraqi government and its initiatives to deliver humanitarian aid to Gaza, despite continued obstruction by the occupation forces.
