Rain and thunderstorms in Baghdad as highs reach 30°C

BAGHDAD — Light to moderate rain, at times with thunderstorms, is expected in Baghdad on Sunday morning as temperatures drop by several degrees, the Iraqi Meteorological Organization and Seismology said in a special bulletin for the capital. Partly cloudy skies will turn overcast at times, with a high of 30°C and a low of 20°C, and conditions will stay mild during the day.

Sunday night will be partly cloudy and relatively cooler. Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday will be partly cloudy, with highs from 27°C to 29°C, and more rain is possible on Thursday. On Sunday, southeasterly winds will be light to moderate at 10 to 20 kilometers per hour and humidity will reach 32%. Visibility will be 6 to 8 kilometers during the day and generally good at night.
