Baghdad international airport designates currency exchange outlets for dollar transactions

BAGHDAD, October 19 — The management of Baghdad International Airport has announced the availability of four currency exchange outlets for dollar transactions. According to a statement from the airport’s media office, received by Network 964, travelers can now access these outlets to obtain dollars for their travel needs. It’s important to note that the deposit of funds is done outside the airport, while the currency can be received inside the transit lounge before departure.

The statement from the airport’s media office is as follows:

“Dear valued travelers,

Greetings,

With the aim of continued coordination and collaboration between the Civil Aviation Authority and the Central Bank of Iraq to provide the best possible services and facilities, the Baghdad International Airport management has opened financial exchange offices within the airport for travelers to access US dollars during their travel.

Please note that the deposit of funds is carried out outside the airport, while you can receive the currency inside the transit lounge before your departure. The following are the financial exchange companies now operating at Baghdad International Airport:

1. Sama Baghdad Exchange Company.
2. Al-Finjan Exchange Company.
3. Al-Qand Exchange Company.
4. Al-Rayan Exchange Company.”
