Armed forces spox: Iraq no longer problem but ‘fundamental component’ of solution

BAGHDAD — The Iraqi government is prioritizing security preparedness by enhancing the technical and logistical capabilities of its security agencies, according to armed forces spokesperson Sabah Al-Naaman.

“There is a great and clear interest in contracting with major companies to achieve very high levels of readiness, given the security stability and the achievements of the security forces in eliminating the remnants of ISIS terrorists,” Al-Naaman said in a statement to the Iraqi News Agency.

Al-Naaman’s statement to Iraqi News Agency:

The efforts of the Iraqi government, under the leadership of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, are focused on enhancing the technical and logistical capabilities of all security agencies in line with their assigned duties.

There is a great and clear interest in contracting with major companies to achieve very high levels of readiness, given the security stability and the achievements of the security forces in eliminating the remnants of ISIS terrorists.

The security challenges are clear to all security leaderships, and all plans have been developed to overcome and address these challenges and find appropriate solutions.

There are daily security achievements, whether in pursuing ISIS terrorist gangs, addressing drug-related issues, or tackling other security challenges, with the overall outcome being security stability and social peace.

Iraq now is being observed by regional and most international countries. There was a time when Iraq was considered a problem due to its lack of security stability, which also impacted the regional situation.

Today, thanks to the sacrifices of its security forces and the efforts made by the government and diplomatic channels, Iraq is not just part of the solution but a fundamental component of it.
