Open-air cinema calls on families to attend
Erbil’s Gilkand Park debuts family-friendly night cinema
ERBIL, September 25 — Erbil’s Gilkand Park has launched a Cinema at Night event featuring a selection of family-friendly films.
The nightly event features carefully curated films and invites families to attend, with the option of bringing their own food and dining in the park during screenings.
Dr. Mohammed Ali, one of the organizers, shared: “This is the first time Erbil has witnessed an open-air cinema, with viewers seated on the green grass. The event will continue for a month, with most of the selected films approved by the Ministry of Culture, Erbil Governorate, and Erbil Parks Engineering, except for four films that were rejected due to their horror scenes.”
“Various retail shops, restaurants, and artisanal craft vendors will also showcase their products to cinema-goers, adding a delightful touch to the event,” he added.
