Fatal shooting of lawyers in Babil
ERBIL, January 13– last year, a man fatally shot two lawyers in Babil’s Hillah district, leaving one dead and the other wounded, then fled to Erbil.
Erbil police, on Saturday, reported the apprehension of the suspect, identified as (H, A, Sh), with an arrest warrant issued by the Erbil security judge on 19.11.2023, citing charges related to the lawyer’s killing.
Ammar Hatem Shahab succumbed to the assailant’s gunfire, while the wounded lawyer, Sarmand Farhan, received medical attention.
