Erbil: Snow covers various areas near the border with Iran.

SORAN, ERBIL, January 10 – Municipality teams have commenced snow removal and road clearing operations across various areas in the Soran administration, particularly following a recent wave of snow and rain.

On Wednesday, the Ministry of Reconstruction announced that teams in the Soran transportation sector are actively engaged in clearing and maintaining key roads that have been blocked due to heavy snowfall.

Currently, efforts are focused on the main Choman – Haji Omran road in the Haji Omran area, which is being cleared of snow. In addition, the Zine Warte road, covered in snow since Tuesday night, is also being cleared and made usable.

These efforts continue in response to a snow and rainstorm that began on Tuesday, particularly affecting the mountainous areas of Soran, leading to significant snow accumulation.
