Ammar al-Hakim condemns attack on PMF, stresses Iraqi sovereignty

BAGHDAD, Iraq – Ammar al-Hakim, leader of the Wisdom Movement, has publicly decried the recent shelling of a Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF) headquarters on Palestine Street in Baghdad.

Al-Hakim’s statement:

We strongly condemn the shelling that targeted a headquarters of the Popular Mobilization Forces in the capital Baghdad. We extend our condolences to the martyrs, wishing them mercy, peace, and a swift recovery for the wounded. We vehemently denounce attempts to violate Iraqi sovereignty, emphasizing the importance of respecting the constitution and laws, preventing disruption of Iraq’s security and political situation. We call for supporting the Iraqi state authorities by adhering to its decisions and policies. May God protect our patient people and have mercy on our righteous martyrs.
