The majority of fires in Soran district caused by electric appliances

SORAN, January 1– The spokesperson for the Civil Defense in Soran administration, Rawand Hawdiani, revealed to 964media that a substantial number of fires in Soran have been attributed to electrical short circuits.

Hawdiani specifically pointed out the malfunctioning of electrical devices due to their poor quality, emphasizing their widespread availability at low prices in the market.

The Erbil Civil Defense Department revealed alarming statistics for 2023. Out of a total of 1,961 reported fires, a staggering 808 were directly linked to poor electrical devices that caused short circuits.
