Fuel shipment to Al-Qaim averts crisis
BAGHDAD, July 25 — A fuel shipment arrived in Anbar’s Al-Qaim district on Monday, averting a shortage crisis that caused a run on area petrol stations.
Local taxi driver Nawras Mohammed told 964: “According to station owners, the crisis has now ended, and it was not intentional. Today, we filled our car tanks with fuel, and we hope such a crisis does not happen again.”
Station owner Ali Hamoud said, “The cause of this crisis was related to license renewals and a rearrangement of how petroleum products are distributed, in general.”
