Media freedom affirmed
No authorization needed for journalists in Iraq, says interior ministry
BAGHDAD, November 25 — The Relations and Media Department of the Ministry of Interior affirmed today, Saturday, that journalists do not need authorization letters to work in various areas and streets in Iraq.
The department stated in a concise statement received by Network 964:
“The Relations and Media Department of the Ministry of Interior emphasizes the freedom of journalistic work, stating that no authorization letters are required for media work in various areas and streets.”
