Temperatures to dip with moderate dust Wednesday before stable weekend
BAGHDAD — Iraq will see cooler temperatures and moderate dust across much of the country Wednesday before relatively stable weather through the weekend, the Meteorological Authority said Tuesday.
Wednesday will be clear with moderate northwesterly winds raising moderate dust, and temperatures falling several degrees nationwide. Visibility will run between eight and 10 kilometers, dropping to two to four kilometers in dusty areas.
Forecast highs Wednesday: Duhok 36°C, Sulaymaniyah 37°C, Erbil 38°C, Nineveh and Anbar 39°C, Kirkuk and Salah al-Din 40°C, Baghdad, Diyala and Karbala 41°C, Babil and Najaf 42°C, Diwaniyah 43°C, Wasit and Muthanna 44°C, Dhi Qar 46°C, Maysan 47°C and Basra 48°C.
Thursday will stay clear, with temperatures rising slightly in central Iraq, easing in the south and holding in the north. Friday and Saturday will remain clear, with temperatures steady in central and northern areas and edging up in the south.
