Meteorological authority forecasts hot weather, slight temperature increase

BAGHDAD — Iraq’s General Authority for Meteorology said temperatures are expected to rise slightly across the country on Saturday, while hot weather conditions will continue during daytime hours.

According to a daily report, skies will be clear with some scattered clouds over central and southern regions, while partly cloudy conditions are expected in the northern areas.

The authority said temperatures will be slightly higher than those recorded on Friday. Weather conditions are expected to remain hot during the day and become milder during the nighttime hours.

Northwesterly winds will be light to moderate, with speeds ranging between 10 and 20 kilometers per hour. Winds are expected to shift at times and become light and variable, with speeds between 5 and 10 kilometers per hour.

Horizontal visibility is expected to remain generally good, ranging between 8 and 10 kilometers.
