Civil defense committee conducts winter emergency simulation in Haditha

ANBAR, November 18 — The Civil Defense Committee in Haditha carried out a winter emergency simulation on Saturday, in an exercise involving local health and electricity departments, as well as the local police force.

Salam Lazam Farhood, Director of Al-Haqlaniya district, said the simulation was done in line with a directive from the Minister of Interior.

“The exercise aimed at preparing for the winter season and potential natural disasters such as floods and torrents that pose threats to citizens’ lives, properties, and well-being. It assessed the readiness of supporting departments and the Civil Defense Directorate to respond to emergencies,” Farhood said.

Ali Al-Alousi, a local resident of Haditha, noted, “The likelihood of natural disasters during the winter season is higher. This activity generates a positive impression and fosters a sense of security among citizens.”
