Rain in north Tuesday and Thursday, warming trend through week across Iraq
BAGHDAD — Light to moderate rainfall is forecast for northern Iraq on Tuesday and again Thursday, while central and southern regions will see mostly clear to partly cloudy skies and gradually rising temperatures through the week, the General Authority for Meteorology said Monday.
Tuesday will bring cloudy skies and rainfall in the north, with partly cloudy conditions in central and southern areas. Maximum temperatures will range from 14°C in Sulaymaniyah to 28°C in Basra. Visibility will be eight to 10 kilometers, dropping to three to five during rainfall.
Wednesday will be clear to partly cloudy nationwide with temperatures similar to Tuesday. Thursday will see cloud cover return with moderate rainfall, thunder and lightning in northern areas and western parts of central Iraq, with a slight temperature rise in the north. Friday will be partly cloudy with temperatures rising by a few degrees across the country.
