Clear skies, cool temperatures prevail across Iraq

BAGHDAD — Iraq’s Meteorological Authority reported clear and stable weather conditions across the country on Saturday, due to the influence of a surface high-pressure system.

The forecast noted scattered high clouds in parts of the northern areas, while overall conditions remain stable in central and southern areas.

Temperatures are expected to rise slightly in the south compared to Friday, while remaining similar in other regions. Morning and nighttime conditions continue to be cold, especially in mountainous areas, with moderate temperatures during the day.

Winds are northwesterly, light to moderate, with speeds ranging from 10 to 20 kilometers per hour. Calm periods are expected in the northern region and western parts of central Iraq.

Horizontal visibility ranges between 8 to 10 kilometers.
