Clear to partly cloudy skies, slight drop in temperatures forecast for Iraq

BAGHDAD — Iraq’s Meteorological Authority forecast clear to partly cloudy weather across the country on Thursday, with intermittent cloudiness expected in the central and northern regions.

Temperatures recorded a slight drop of 1 to 2 degrees Celsius compared to the previous day.

Conditions are expected to be relatively cold during the early morning and nighttime hours, with mild weather during the day and noticeable cold over mountainous areas.

Winds will be southeasterly, light to moderate at speeds ranging between 10–20 km/h, occasionally calm in southern and eastern parts of the country. Surface humidity levels are projected to increase slightly in those areas.

Horizontal visibility is expected to range between 8 and 10 kilometers in most regions, but may decrease to 4–6 kilometers in the central and southern regions in the morning due to haze and elevated levels of suspended pollutants.
