Clouds, dust, and rising temperatures expected across Iraq in coming days
BAGHDAD — Iraq’s Meteorological Authority reported Thursday that the weather across the country will be partly clear with scattered clouds, which may increase at times, causing partially cloudy conditions in some areas.
According to the authority’s report, temperatures are expected to rise slightly compared to the previous day, bringing relatively hot weather during daytime hours in central and southern regions, while conditions will be more moderate at night.
Winds are forecast to be variable in direction, ranging from light to moderate speeds of 10 to 20 kilometers per hour, occasionally shifting to northwesterly and intensifying to 20 to 30 kilometers per hour. This may lead to the stirring of dust and airborne particles.
Horizontal visibility is expected to decline in the morning due to dust and pollutants, ranging between 2 and 4 kilometers, and may drop further in desert areas.
