Hot days, milder nights: respite from summer heat expected after dusk across Iraq
BAGHDAD – Iraq’s Meteorological Authority reported Wednesday that weather across the country will remain hot to very hot during the day and turn milder at night, under the influence of a seasonal low-pressure system.
The authority said temperatures will be similar to those recorded Tuesday in southern regions, with a drop of about two degrees Celsius expected in some areas.
Winds are forecast to blow northwesterly at light to moderate speeds ranging between 20 and 30 km/h.
Temporary wind activity in central and southern Iraq could cause light dust, while northern areas and the Kurdistan Region will see calm periods with variable wind directions.
