Four family members killed in crash near Imam Ali Air Base

DHI QAR – Four people from one family were killed and another injured Sunday evening after their car overturned on the International Highway near Imam Ali Air Base, according to a security source who spoke to 964media.

“Four people died and another was injured this evening, Sunday, in a car rollover accident on the international highway near Imam Ali Air Base,” the source said.

The victims were a man, his wife, their son, and their daughter, all from Basra governorate. A third son sustained injuries and is receiving medical care.

The bodies were transported to Souq al-Shuyoukh General Hospital by the Tel al-Lahm emergency center, the source added.

On August 23, seven members of one family, including parents and five children, were killed when their car collided with a truck on the Bardarash–Kalak road. Civil defense director Ibrahim Fariq said the vehicles caught fire and the victims burned inside, later confirming the toll as seven after forensic examination, including the unborn child.
