Two killed, three injured in crash on Qushtepa–Erbil road

ERBIL — Two people were killed and three others injured in a traffic incident involving four vehicles on the Qushtepa–Erbil road on Saturday evening.

The crash occurred when a vehicle traveling toward Erbil veered into the opposite lane and collided with two other cars and a motorcycle.

The fatal incident took place near Hamza Kwer village. The injured were transported to Erbil Emergency Hospital for treatment. Two of the drivers died.

Traffic fatalities remain a major concern across the region. Seven members of one family were killed Friday afternoon in a traffic incident on the Bardarash–Kalak road when their car collided with a truck.
