Meteorological Authority: Temperatures remain high across Iraq
BAGHDAD — Iraq is experiencing hot to very hot summer weather across all regions on Saturday, with mostly clear skies and periods of scattered clouds in the southern and northeastern parts of the country, according to the Iraqi Meteorological Authority.
The report said temperatures are similar to Friday’s readings, with slight drops in some areas.
Winds are expected to be northwesterly at light to moderate speeds of 20–30 kph, remaining southeasterly and humid in Basra and Maysan, and calm in the western parts of the central region and in some northern areas.
Horizontal visibility will range from 8–10 km in most areas, dropping to 5–7 km in southern and eastern regions due to dust and pollution.
