Kurdistan investment authority to export Kurdish pomegranates to Qatar
ERBIL, October 21 — Kurdistan Investment Authority has announced an agreement with the Qatari government to export substantial quantities of Kurdish pomegranates, honey, and rice in the upcoming year.
The current foreign investment volume in the Kurdistan Region has reached approximately $5 billion.
In a mid-week meeting, Qatari Consul in Kurdistan, Mashal Abdullah Al-Hajri, formally requested the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) to supply pomegranates, honey, and rice to the Qatari market.
The Kurdistan Investment Authority has also encouraged Qatari investors to actively participate in direct investment projects within the Kurdistan Region.
Several Qatari investors already engage in joint ventures with local investors to boost investment levels.
