Explosion heard near military airport in Harir subdistrict, Erbil

ERBIL, October 18 — Residents of the Harir subdistrict in northern Erbil reported a loud explosion on Wednesday, which security sources have attributed to the downing of a drone near the military airport.

“The airport was not targeted, as military base defenses successfully intercepted a drone that intended to attack it.”
