Dust, rain and cooler temperatures expected across Iraq

BAGHDAD — Iraq’s meteorological authority on Thursday forecast a mix of clouds, light rain and dust storms across several parts of the country, along with a slight drop in temperatures.

Northern and central regions are expected to see partly cloudy skies with a chance of light to moderate rainfall. Thunderstorms are possible in some areas.

Dust is likely to affect central and southwestern provinces, reducing visibility to between three and five kilometers. Conditions are expected to improve by evening.

Temperatures will fall slightly compared to Wednesday, the authority said.

Northwesterly winds are expected at speeds between 10 and 20 kilometers per hour, with some variation in the south.
