KRG Prime Minister Masrour Barzani extends Newroz greetings

ERBIL — Kurdistan Regional Government Prime Minister Masrour Barzani extended his congratulations to the people of Kurdistan on the occasion of Newroz and the Kurdish New Year 2725, offering well wishes for “happiness, joy, peace, and prosperity.”  In a statement, Barzani expressed his “gratitude” to the people of Kurdistan, sating, “The strong will of the people of Kurdistan reinforces our optimism in a better future.”

The Kurdistan Regional Government has declared March 21, 22, and 23 public holidays in honor of Newroz, the Kurdish New Year traditionally celebrated on March 21 to mark the arrival of spring.

On the occasion of Newroz and the Kurdish New Year 2725, I extend my warmest congratulations to all the people of Kurdistan, especially the heroic Peshmerga, the internal security forces, and the families of our honored martyrs and Anfal victims. I hope this occasion brings happiness, joy, peace, and prosperity.

I express my gratitude to the patriotic and resilient people of Kurdistan, whose strong will reinforces our optimism in a better future. We remain hopeful that in the near future, we can form a strong and unified government, continue our reform agenda more effectively and appropriately, and enhance our services to all residents of the Kurdistan Region, leading our country toward greater progress and development.
