Gas explosion injures shopkeeper in Said Sadiq district

SULAYMANIYAH — A gas explosion at a tinsmith’s shop in Shekhan neighborhood, Said Sadiq district, Sulaymaniyah, left the shop owner injured on Monday, according to medical officials.

Kamal Saadoun, from Shaheed Shawkat Hospital, told 964media, “A short while ago, an injured citizen was brought to our hospital. He is a 35-year-old tinsmith who was working at his shop. A gas cylinder exploded, causing metal fragments to hit him, resulting in severe injuries.”

The victim received emergency treatment before being transferred to Sulaymaniyah hospitals for further medical care.
