BAGHDAD, October 15 — Rox Hall, located in the University neighborhood in western Baghdad, organized a domino tournament that saw the participation of numerous young players from nearby areas. The competition kicked off on Saturday evening, with an atmosphere filled with enthusiasm and a strong sense of competition.

A team led by player Ali Wissam from Al-Amil neighborhood emerged as the champions of the “Domino Game” tournament, featuring 11 teams from various districts in Baghdad.

The winning team was awarded a cash prize provided by the organizers of the tournament at Rox Hall.

Each participating team paid a modest entry fee of only 5,000 Iraqi Dinars, and the matches were conducted with a referee at each table.

The value of the tournament prize depends on the number of participating teams each time.

Hassan Safaa, the owner of Rox Hall, said,

“The number of participants in this tournament reached 11 teams. Most of the participants were from neighborhoods like Saidiya, Yarmouk, Al-Amil, University neighborhood, and Al-Amiriya. The tournament was held in response to the desire of young people who love this popular and ancient game.

The game format used was individual scoring, with each team consisting of two players.”

Ali Wissam, one of the participants in the tournament, mentioned,

“I used to come from the Al-Amil neighborhood to this hall almost daily in preparation for this tournament. This is my second participation in the tournament, and I managed to win the title and the cash prize.”
