Two killed in crash on Kirkuk-Baghdad Road

DIYALA — A traffic collision on the Kirkuk-Baghdad road near Al-Azim, northwest of Diyala, left two people dead and two others injured, an Iraqi security source confirmed to 964media.

The crash involved a Kia Bongo truck and an unidentified sedan. “The incident occurred due to high speed and driving in the wrong direction,” the source said.

The two fatalities, residents of Al-Azim, were transported to the forensic medicine department, while the injured were taken to Baquba Hospital for treatment. Authorities are investigating the circumstances of the crash.
