Central bank of Iraq denies dollar shipment suspension amidst schedule confirmation
BAGHDAD, October 7 — The Central Bank of Iraq affirmed on Friday that the shipments of dollars sent by the U.S. Federal Reserve are proceeding according to a specific timetable and agreed-upon schedules. The bank received the shipment as scheduled yesterday, denying reports of any suspension or reduction in the shipments sent to the bank.
In a statement received by Network 964, the Central Bank stated:
“The Central Bank of Iraq has confirmed that the shipments of dollars sent by the U.S. Federal Reserve are following a specific timetable and agreed-upon schedules between the two monetary institutions. The shipment was received on Thursday as scheduled, refuting news and media reports claiming any suspension or reduction in the shipments sent to the bank.
The Central Bank of Iraq also called on the media to exercise precision when disseminating information related to Iraq’s monetary policy and to obtain it from official sources through the official website and verified social media accounts.”
