Three Peshmerga soldiers injured by lightning strike in Matin mountains

DUHOK, October 3 — A lightning strike on Matin Mountain northeast of Duhok city hit a Peshmerga base, injuring three individuals, according to the Duhok Health Directorate.

Masoud Buti, the Deputy Director of Health in the area, stated:

Three Peshmerga soldiers were injured, with two of them being transferred to Duhok Hospital. One of them suffered a leg fracture, while another fainted from shock. The third soldier suffered burns, fortunately with a low severity. The health condition of the injured is stable, and they are under medical supervision.
