Five injured
Two children killed in car crash on Sulaymaniyah’s Kalar-Bawanoor Road
SULAYMANIYAH – A tragic traffic incident on the Kalar-Bawanoor road claimed the lives of two children and injured five others, including three children and two women, according to a statement released by the Garmian Traffic Directorate. Kalar is the administrative center of the Garmian Independent Administration in Sulaymaniyah Governorate.
The incident occurred earlier today when a Toyota Corolla traveling toward Kalar lost control and collided with a light pole near the village of Berdasuri Kon. The crash caused severe injuries to the passengers, including five children and two women.
The injured were rushed to Shahid Hajar Emergency Hospital in Kalar. Tragically, two of the children, aged six and eight, succumbed to their injuries. Due to the severity of their conditions, two additional victims were transferred to a hospital in Sulaymaniyah for advanced care.
Traffic authorities have launched an investigation into the accident to determine its cause and circumstances.
