Iraq to wear all-white kit against South Korea in crucial World Cup qualifier

NEWSROOM – Iraq’s national soccer team will don an all-white kit for their upcoming World Cup qualifying match against South Korea on Tuesday. The Iraqi goalkeepers will wear blue, while South Korea’s players will be in red, with their goalkeepers in green.

This match, part of the AFC World Cup Qualification, Round 3, Group B, will take place at the Yongin Mireu Stadium in South Korea. Both teams head into the match with two wins and one draw, with South Korea leading the group on goal difference.

Iraq has yet to concede a goal in the qualifiers but has only scored twice in their three games. South Korea has shown strong defensive performances, notably in their 2-0 win over Jordan.

A win for Iraq would see them overtake South Korea at the top of the group. This marks the first competitive match between the two teams since a January 2024 friendly, which South Korea won 1-0.
