Tickets for Iraq vs. Palestine World Cup qualifier on sale across Basra
BASRA — Al-Manara Sports Marketing Company has announced the sale of tickets for the upcoming Iraq vs. Palestine World Cup Asian Qualifier, scheduled for Thursday. Tickets are now available at 29 outlets across Basra and other governorates.
The company revealed four ticket categories, with prices ranging from 15,000 to 50,000 Iraqi dinars ($10 to $32). There are 13 outlets in Basra and 16 in other regions where the tickets can be purchased.
According to Adel Ghafouri, Director of Al-Manara, 65,000 tickets have been printed. Ghafouri emphasized that rumors about printing more tickets than available seats were false.
Ticket prices start at 15,000 dinars ($10) for the orange category, 20,000 dinars ($13) for the blue category, 30,000 dinars ($19) for the green category, and 50,000 dinars ($32) for the VIP red category.
Ghafouri also stated that special teams will be deployed to ensure that spectators sit according to the sections listed on their tickets. On fears of scalping, he warned that “anyone found ticket scalping will be held accountable.”
Iraq currently ranks third in Group B, while Palestine is in fifth place. Both teams are competing to advance in the qualifying stages for the World Cup. Iraq will be aiming to leverage their home advantage at the Basra stadium, which will host 65,000 fans for the match.
