Ramadi power station director, family killed in armed attack

ANBAR — Firas Ubaidi, the director of the Ramadi Power Station, along with three members of his family, were killed in an armed attack at their home in the Al-Furayha neighborhood of the Al-Baghdadi subdistrict, located in Hit district, western Anbar province.

The attack, carried out by unidentified gunmen early Saturday morning, claimed the lives of Ubaidi, his wife, and two daughters, while a young son survived, according to a family member who spoke to 964media. “Firas Ubaidi, his wife, and two daughters were killed, but their young son survived,” the source confirmed.

Authorities have not yet determined whether the attack was an act of terrorism, and the group responsible has not been identified.
