Volunteers aim to help 1,000 students

Volunteers in Mosul provide orphaned children with uniforms and school supplies

MOSUL, September 23 — A team of volunteers from the Make It Better organization launched a campaign on Friday to prepare school uniforms and supplies for 100 orphaned boys and girls ahead of the new academic year, with a goal of reaching at least a thousand school-aged children.

Omar Al-Sa’arti, volunteer team director, told 964: “We are accustomed to equipping Mosul’s orphans with school uniforms and stationery supplies every year, for both boys and girls. Today, we have prepared the first batch ahead of the new school year.”

“There are other campaigns that will be launched soon, and we look forward to delivering these supplies to 1,000 children from the city,” he continued.

“Our goal is to bring joy and happiness to orphans and assist them in providing their school material needs, which have been a burden for them. We will work diligently to reach as many orphans as possible and help them,”Al-Sa’arti concluded.
