Iraqi swimming federation to host championship at Lake Dukan

SULAYMANIYAH, September 19 — The Iraqi Swimming Federation has announced it will host a club championship on Friday, September 22, at Lake Dukan, including competitions in junior, youth, and adult categories.

Mohammed Mustafa, a member of the Iraqi Swimming Federation, told 964: “The championship will take place at Lake Dukan, and we expect it to be a strong and competitive event due to the professionalism of the participating swimmers.”

“The race distances are 10 km for adults, 7 km for youth, and 5 km for juniors,” he added.

Ten clubs are expected to participate in the swim competition, including five clubs from the Kurdistan region and five from central and southern Iraq.
