Iraqi striker Muhannad Ali joins Iranian Tractor FC

NEWSROOM – Iraqi national team striker Muhannad Ali, known as “Mimi,” officially joined Iran’s Tractor SC on Wednesday for the upcoming season after concluding his contract with Al-Shorta SC, the reigning Iraqi Stars League champions.

Ali arrived in Tabriz this morning and will start group training sessions tomorrow in preparation for the new season. Tractor SC, a professional football club based in Tabriz, competes in the Persian Gulf Pro League.

With this transfer, Ali becomes the third Iraqi player to join the Iranian league this season, following midfielder Safaa Hadi, also to Tractor SC, and midfielder Muntadher Mohammed to Esteghlal FC.
