Erbil launches campaign to clean and organize green spaces
ERBIL — The Directorate of Gardens and Parks Engineering in Erbil has launched an extensive effort to tidy up and manage parks, central plazas, and public gardens under the Erbil Municipality’s oversight.
The initiative includes the deployment of various tools such as lawn mowers, leaf blowers, and tree pruning equipment to upkeep the city’s green areas.
The objective is to enhance the greenery and increase the proportion of green spaces in Erbil, which is nearing 20% based on the most recent figures.
Serwar Weisi, a spokesperson for the directorate, previously informed 964 of plans to significantly increase the production of trees and flowers in 2024, aiming to surpass the output of 2023.
