Kurdish female pilot makes history with Baghdad-Dubai flight

BAGHDAD — In a landmark event for aviation in Iraq, Rejin Doski, a Kurdish female pilot promoted to the rank of captain, flew her first flight from Baghdad to Dubai, marking a significant milestone for Iraqi Airways and women in Iraq’s aviation sector.

Iraqi Airways released a statement announcing Captain Rejin Mohammed Doski successfully piloted the flight between Baghdad and Dubai, highlighting this as her inaugural journey as an aircraft captain.

Following her promotion to the rank of captain, Iraq’s Minister of Transportation, Razzaq Muhibis, commended Doski and celebrated the achievement with a small ceremony at Baghdad International Airport.
