Iraqi national security detains major drug trafficking network in Sulaymaniyah
SULAYMANIYAH – The Iraqi National Security Directorate, in collaboration with Sulaymaniyah security forces, announced today the dismantling of a significant drug trafficking and smuggling network in Sulaymaniyah province.
In a statement, the Directorate described the network as one of the “most dangerous” drug trafficking networks operating in the region. The operation resulted in the seizure of more than 20 kilograms of crystal methamphetamine.
Additionally, eight individuals linked to the network were detained during the operation.
