First commercial swimming pool project set to open in Hit
ANBAR, August 19 — The residents of Hit district are eagerly anticipating the opening of the city’s first swimming pool through an investment initiative. This project is part of a larger endeavor that includes recreational services, a shopping center, and bakeries.
This project follows the government-owned Forum Hit swimming pool, which closed down a year after its opening due to maintenance issues.
The new swimming pool is scheduled to open in October and will operate during the winter with water heating systems, allowing for year-round swimming.
Thamer Mohammed Al-Dulaimi, the investor, stated to Network 964:
“The swimming pool is an investment project based on the ‘Musatahat’ system on a land owned by the Hit Municipality Directorate. The work is progressing steadily for its opening by October.”
“The project includes two pools: one for youth measuring 25 meters in length and 12.5 meters in width, and another for children measuring 12 meters in length and 10 meters in width. The total land area for the project is 700 square meters, spanning two floors.”
Youssef Iyad, a resident of Hit, mentioned to Network 964:
“We are eagerly awaiting the opening of the swimming pool, especially since swimming in the river puts our lives at risk. The new pool will save us the hassle of traveling to Ramadi for swimming in safe and clean designated areas.”
